Dr. Aamir Hussain is a general dermatologist. He has a clinical interest in patch testing, a specialized method of determining substances that cause allergic reactions on the skin. Dr. Hussain enjoys working with diverse patient populations, and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, and Urdu. He graduated from the Georgetown University Dermatology Residency Program, and completed clinical rotations at the National Institutes of Health, Children’s National Medical Center, Washington Hospital Center, and Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Hussain was born and raised in Farmington, CT. After graduating from Georgetown University with a major in Government and minor in Theology, Dr. Hussain completed a combined MD and Master’s of Arts in Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He completed 1 year of internal medicine residency training at Northwell Health in Long Island, New York, and was awarded Intern of the Year for his work during the initial phase of the pandemic in March 2020. Dr. Hussain moved back to the DMV region for residency, and now lives in Northern Virginia.

Dr. Hussain is an internationally-recognized speaker, writer, and educator on healthcare policy, medical education, and the intersections between spirituality and medicine. He has been interviewed by the New York Times, Al Jazeera, and PBS, and his writings have been featured in medical journals and several online outlets.
