‘Reconstructive Burnout’ – Study Looks at Patients Who Start Breast Reconstruction After Mastectomy, But Don’t Complete It

Nearly one-fourth of breast cancer patients who start breast reconstruction after mastectomy don’t complete the reconstructive process. The concept of reconstructive burnout is introduced and discussed in a study in the January issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
